We are interested in hearing from people who would like to play an important role supporting our school as part of our Academy Council.

Similar to a school governing body, the Academy Council’s role is to ensure your children learn in a safe environment and to the best of their ability. We anticipate meeting once a term at Haywood Village Academy. There will be a standard agenda for each meeting, which includes reviewing data on the quality of teaching and learning, progress, school budget, attendance, behaviour and safety.  There are also opportunities to support the development of policies and procedures.

The Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) will provide training to support Academy Councillors to help them better understand their roles and responsibilities.

If you are interested in joining our Academy Council, please contact us on enquiries@haywoodvillageacademy.org.uk. We would like to know more about you and your motivations to support our school.
